Off the back of the positive feedback from our last Founders event, we have decided to run another one and open it up to more Founders. This time, as well as bringing back the amazing Seida Ensemble, we will have a talk and Q&A from Warpaint & Jaaq Founder Danny Gray.
The event will begin with a talk from Danny around his own experiences of mental health, followed by a live immersive Orchestral performance from Seida Ensemble, and will finish with the opportunity to connect over drinks and canapes.
Seida Ensemble were at our last event and had amazing feedback – as well as a wonderful performance we facilitated a beautiful open forum between musicians and Founders, where we talked about the link between music and mental health, how to give and receive feedback, as well as drawing parallels between the importance of teamwork and dedication both for the musicians, and within start-up teams and culture.
Danny Gray Bio
Danny is an inspirational Founder with an incredible story. Bullied for his appearance as a teen, Danny turned his struggle with Body Dysmorphic Disorder into a mission to improve the mental health of billions of people across the world.
He pioneered his first business, War Paint For Men, in 2018, and in 2021, he launched JAAQ – Just Ask A Question – a digital mental health platform, on a mission to “change the world, one question at a time”.
The calibre of investors in Jaaq is truly world class. They have attracted the likes of Comic Relief Chief Executive Kevin Cahill, Solve For Happy author Mo Gawdat and a host of other high-profile advisors.
Our Mission
Having experienced burn out myself, after setting up my business off the back of a perfect storm of my son’s cancer diagnosis and escaping an abusive relationship, I know a thing or two about resilience and I’m hugely passionate about making a difference to the experiences of other Founders.
One of our most important values is authenticity, and we want to open up real conversations between Founders and offer them a space where they can share openly about the challenges they may be facing (or just listen to others!)

This event will hopefully give Founders the opportunity to take a break from their daily grind before the madness of December kicks in – we promise no bullshit conversation, no judgement and hopefully some fun!
We have some brilliant guests confirmed already from new to exited Founders to enable a really rich mix of viewpoints and learning.
